1.2.1 CCIE Exam Content Module

TS (Troubleshooting)

Examine the ability to troubleshoot network problems. The exam simulates a network environment, such as a server that cannot be accessed, allowing you to identify problems and resolve them. The module needs to be configured on the device.

DIAG (Diagnose)

Investigate network failure analysis capabilities. This module has no device operation, the test site will give you network requirements, problems, give the device configuration, log information, let you analyze the cause of the network failure. This module has no devices to configure.

CFG(Configuration)

Investigate the ability to build a network, the test site gives the requirements, topology, and complete the network construction as required. This module needs to be configured on the device.

1.2.2 CCIE LAB exam time is 8 hours

1) TS (Troubleshooting) troubleshooting time can be up to 2.5 hours, you can also end the module exam early, such as 1.5H, you can directly choose to end the module exam to enter the next module.

2) The DIAG (Diagnose) troubleshooting test is fixed for 0.5 hours and cannot be terminated early.

3) The test time for CFG (Configuration) configuration is the total duration of deducting TS and DIAG for 8 hours.

Example:

TS takes 1.5 hours, DIAG takes 0.5 hours, then CFG takes 6 hours (8 hours - 1.5 hours - 0.5 hours = 6 hours)

TS takes 2 hours, DIAG takes 0.5 hours, then CFG takes 5.5 hours (8 hours - 2 hours - 0.5 hours = 5.5 hours)

TS takes 2.5 hours, DIAG takes 0.5 hours, then CFG takes 5 hours (8 hours - 2.5 hours - 0.5 hours = 5 hours)

Note: TS can use up to 2.5 hours

1.2.3 CCIE LAB test scores

The total score is 100 points, and each module needs >=80% to get the CCIE certificate.

1) The total score of TS (Troubleshooting) is 24 points. The module is required to be >=20 points to pass the CCIE exam.

2) The total score of DIAG (Diagnose) is 6 points, and the module is required to be >= 4 points in order to pass the CCIE exam.

3) The total score of CFG (Configuration) is 70 points, and the module is required to be >=56 points in order to pass the CCIE exam.

Note: There are often 3 modules of the candidates showing the pass, but the CCIE certificate is not obtained. The reason is that in the CCIE RSv5.0 exam, as long as the score >=60%, the pass is displayed, but >=80% is required to pass the CCIE exam. .
