Does AZ 500 have labs?



Recently, Microsoft has restructured its most popular Azure Certifications into the model, which is role-based. The company would be stating that the Azure certifications would be now focusing on developing skills that would be aligned to the work role. As per the newest notice, the alteration to the certifications would have been in the beta stage, with effective release dates for the Azure Certification exams throughout 2019 and 2020.

  • Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-100)
  • Azure Architect Design (AZ-301)
  • Azure Architect Technologies (AZ-300)
  • Azure Data Scientists (DP-100)
  • Microsoft Azure Developing Solutions for Azure (AZ-203)
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions (AZ-400)
  • Microsoft Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500)

Candidates for this exam must have subject matter expertise implementing security controls and threat protection, managing access and identity, and protecting data, applications, and networks in hybrid and cloud environments as part of an end-to-end infrastructure.


Responsibilities for an Azure Security Engineer would be including maintaining the security posture, implementing threat protection, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities by using a variety of security tools, and responding to security incident escalations.


Azure Security Engineers would often serve as part of a larger team dedicated to cloud-based management and hybrid or security environments as part of an end-to-end infrastructure.


A candidate for this exam must also be familiar with automation and scripting, should possess a deep understanding of virtualization and networking. A candidate must also have a strong familiarity with cloud capabilities, Azure services and products, and other Microsoft services and products.


This certification exam would be for experts who would be employing and managing different security controls and accountable for securing Azure networks, cloud data, and apps. You would be considered responsible for ensuring various cloud-based solutions and hybrid cloud solutions.
